Rosalyn Thought She Was a Goat by Hannah Sessions
The first story in the RED BARN SERIES
Hannah Sessions is a farmer and an artist living in Vermont. This is her first children’s book. She wrote this book about an actual sheep on her goat farm. Though the events in the story are fictional, there are a lot of facts in this book: goats do prefer to eat leaves and bark and sheep prefer grass, and goats detest getting wet in the rain while sheep don’t mind at all (their wool insulates them). It is also the experience of the author/illustrator that everyone has a unique gift and a purpose, and a community, like a farm, works when we all can contribute in our own ways!
